Set your goals – and shop accordingly.
Why do you want to eat healthy? Are you training for a race? Trying to lose weight? Or just wanting to feel your best in your body? Figure out what you want to accomplish, and do some research on what will help you reach your goals. Then choose a week’s worth of recipes and create a shopping list that will help you progress.
Learn to love batches.
It doesn’t take much more time to cook five servings of something than one. In fact, a lot of times it’s easier! Instead of trying to cook 21 different healthy meals throughout the week, make big batches. Find a recipe you love for breakfast and lunch, and prep at least enough to have grab-and-go options to bring to work.
Sous chef for yourself.
Simply chopping veggies takes a surprising amount of time. Make weeknight cooking a lot easier by setting aside an hour on the weekend to be your own sous chef. Find a podcast or show you like and set it up in the kitchen to fend off boredom. Then, do all the peeling, chopping, dicing, etc. you’ll need for the week’s meals. Store everything in Tupperware in your fridge and you’ll have a head start on nightly dinners!
